Details:The Director of Contracts and Legal is responsible for leading a department of contract administration and export compliance professionals at all levels.   Understands the business and has an appreciation of financial and analytical issues and profit and loss implications of the company's contractual and legal decisions and actions.  Directs the activities of contracts and export compliance professionals in matters ranging from simple and routine to highly complex U.S. Department of Defense and domestic and international commercial contractual arrangements of strategic importance to the business unit.  Directs the development and implementation of entire range of contract formation, negotiation of price and other financial details and terms & conditions, and administration in accordance with customer expectations and corporate and business unit objectives, policies, and procedures.   Leads complex negotiations.  Participates in the development of teaming arrangements and non-disclosure agreements.   Performs in a cross-functional Integrated Product Team role supporting other business elements, e.g., finance, program management, human resources, and operations, and provides related contractual and legal guidance and leadership to business team members.  Communicates corporate, group, division, and business unit objectives to the contracts department and establishes and implements departmental goals and objectives with direct reports to ensure alignment.  Provides career development and training opportunities for contracts and export compliance professionals.   Ensures appropriate contract staffing and budget levels.  Must have excellent written, oral, teambuilding, and leadership skills and the ability to handle multiple competing business unit priorities.
